Taken (2008) is a English-French action/crime thriller starring Liam Neeson, directed by Pierre Morel. Neason plays a former CIA agent operative who sets out tracking down his daughter after she is kidnapped by human traffickers for sexual slavery whilst travelling in France. Many media outlets have titled this film as Neesons big break in his career in the aspect of action films.

On the films opening day in the USA, it grossed $9.4 million, scoring the best opening day ever for super bowl weekend. It went on to make $24.4 million in its opening weekend. In total the film grossed a worldwide gross of $226,830,568 million.

Also in this film Neeson says probably his most famous ever line, in which he is on the phone and he says

"I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for a ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not peruse you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you"
