North by Northwest is a tale of mistaken identity, when an innocent man is pursued across America by agents of a mysterious organization who think that he is trying to stop them in their plan to smuggle microfilm containing government secrets out of the country,
This is a typical plot line to a spy thriller as it is a case of some random person getting caught up in a mess with dangerous men/women, in which he has nothing to do with.
